I was inspired to see the community support that led to the quick re-opening of Ruben’s Bakery, a beloved bakery in Compton for 50 years, after 100 thugs crashed a car into the bakery’s entrance and ransacked the business, causing thousands of dollars in damage. Together as a community we can fix this, starting on March 5 when we elect a new District Attorney.

It was my honor to meet Reuben Ramirez Jr., the owner of Ruben’s Bakery in Compton and discuss my strategy to restore public safety in LA County as the next DA. It’s time to stand up as a community and solve the problem of rampant crime and lawlessness created by Gascon.

Scenes of lawlessness like recent looting and vandalism at Ruben’s Bakery in Compton are far too common since Gascon took office and implemented his radical pro-criminal policies.
