Gascón fails to file felony charge against man who attacked woman on Long Beach sidewalk

If Gascón does not want to protect Long Beach residents from being attacked and sexually assaulted on public sidewalks, it’s time to vote him out of office. Enough is enough!

A man captured on video allegedly sexually assaulting a woman on a Long Beach sidewalk will not face a felony charge, according to George Gascón’s office.

In the video footage, a woman is seen strolling down the sidewalk, dressed in dark attire, and a man approaches her from behind, lifting her dress and causing her to fall to the ground. A nearby witness attempted to intervene, but the suspect managed to flee.

The Long Beach City Prosecutor has formally requested the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office reconsider their decision to not pursue a felony case against the man accused of this assault.

In response, the District Attorney’s office issued a statement on Tuesday, explaining that although the case had been “carefully reviewed previously,” they will conduct another examination of the evidence in light of “additional information” that has come to their attention.

Gascón Must Go.
