Because I’m registered as an independent (no party preference) the Santa Monica Democratic Club barred me from participating in its  D.A. candidate debate. I attended anyway and shared my views and commentary on Twitter. It’s time for an independent D.A. in Los Angeles, a D.A. who makes decisions based on the evidence and the law – not on party affiliation or political ideology.
